Benny raced from the small house and skidded beneath the sunny trees. Bonk! A bright red apple dropped onto the grass. “Oh!”

Benny picked up the apple and rolled it along the grassy path. It bumped a root, spun in a circle, and stopped beside another apple.

Benny giggled at the forest treasure. “Two apples!” he whispered, reaching for both.

Benny tried to carry both apples home. One slipped under a fern, and the other bounced away. Plop!

Benny followed the runaway apple past crunchy leaves. He listened carefully for another soft plop.

There it was! The runaway apple sat in a little puddle. A tiny frog hopped out from behind it.

Benny jumped, then laughed. He wiped the apple on a leaf and carried both apples toward home.

At home, Benny shared the apples with his family. Crunch, crunch! He pointed toward the sunny forest, ready for another walk.
