Lujain plays on the stairs of Grandpa's library. Her tail snags... oops! She tumbles, and there it is: a faded notebook tucked between the shelves.

The cold paper crackles beneath her fingers. The notebook breathes in a sleepy voice: "Aaaaah... so bored..." Lujain freezes right where she is.

She opens the notebook slowly. Faded pages, quiet stories. She chews her lip and whispers, "I'll make it new!"

She picks up a rose-colored quill. She draws pink lotus flowers along the edges. The quill sizzles: fizz... fizz... fizz.

Suddenly, between two pages, a tiny frog leaps out: "Ribbit!" Lujain lifts her hand. The frog wiggles its nose: "Ribbit!"

Drops of water seep from the pink lotus petals. The pages drip. The frog hops: "Ribbit! Ribbit!"

The notebook blooms open! Old stories glow golden. The lotus waves, and the frog hops toward its garden.

A damp garden. Cold earth, rich and cool. Pink lotus flowers rest on the water.

Lujain sits on the ground, the notebook fluttering in her hands. A little frog dries on the edge of a page. The notebook sighs, "Thank you."

Lujain smiles. "Ribbit!" says the frog. The notebook closes gently, and the pages whisper.
