Rain suddenly poured over the cheerful village. Mimi popped open the rainbow umbrella and skipped along the puddled path.

Drip, drop, drum! Mimi spotted a friend hurrying through the rain and hurried over.

Mimi held the umbrella over the young squirrel. “Come under here!”

The young squirrel pointed down the lane. Another friend, the little hedgehog, was hurrying past the flower beds.

Mimi stretched the umbrella wide and guided both friends underneath. Then—POP! A gust flipped it inside out.

Everyone hopped as water pattered everywhere. “The umbrella needs a fix!” cried the young squirrel.

Mimi tugged the umbrella straight. With one quick twist, the rainbow canopy opened correctly again.

The rain stopped. Sunlight poured across every puddle, and a rainbow arched over the village.

Mimi lowered the umbrella. The friends stepped into the sunshine and followed the rainbow along the sparkling path.

Splash, splash! They laughed and carried the umbrella together beneath the bright rainbow sky.
