Masha splashes in the sunny pool.
Her yellow duck bobs and floats far away.
She reaches, but the duck drifts farther. She looks at her scuffed toes.
Masha takes a breath and calls, "Mommy! My duck!"
Her mommy appears and hands her a long noodle.
Masha grabs the duck and squeezes it tight.
Her mommy's hand finds hers. They splash together.
The duck squeaks. Masha laughs.
