Bonka tapped a shiny stone on the dinosaur trail. WHOOSH!

The ferns blurred. The ground rumbled. Bonka popped into a wilder, older world.

Bonka froze beside giant leaves as ash drifted from a far volcano. “Oh! This is not my trail.”

Then Bonka saw fresh three-toed prints in the mud. Bonka followed them.

By a bubbling tar pit, Bonka spotted another young dinosaur. Bonka lifted a foot to wave.

But Bonka slipped on a mossy rock and landed with a PLOP in soft ferns.

Bonka hid behind a huge leaf for a moment. Then Bonka peeked out. “Hi.”

The other dinosaur rolled a striped seed ball over. Bonka rolled it back.

Soon they were chasing the seed ball between the tree trunks. Then the volcano went BOOM!

The ball bounced onto a narrow stone ledge. Pebbles clattered down toward the tar below.

Bonka tried with a stick. Then a branch. Then a careful horn-tip.

Each time, the seed ball wobbled closer to the edge.

CRACK! Bonka darted forward, hooked the ball with a horn, and tumbled back as the ledge snapped away.

Bonka scrambled up, dotted with black tar and bits of leaf. The other dinosaur stared—then let out a big honking laugh.

Bonka laughed too. The two new friends bumped horns.

Bonka tapped the shiny stone again. The dinosaur trail glowed like a long ribbon.

Bonka and the new best friend rolled the seed ball back and forth from one time to the next. Thump-thump! Thump-thump!

Bonka ran, stopped, and ran back again. Together, they tapped the ball one last time, already ready for the next game.
