The meadow stretched wide and golden. Colorful flowers nodded in the breeze. Benny the bunny hopped along, tail bouncing happily.

Benny stopped. He heard a tiny sound — peep, peep, peep. Something small and yellow sat on the grass below the oak tree.

Benny reached up with both paws, but the lowest branch was far too high. He thought, How can I help?

Butterflies appeared, circling the baby bird like floating petals. Benny followed their glittering trail until he found a lower branch.

He climbed carefully. The branch creaked and bent under his weight. The baby bird chirped nervously, wings fluttering.

A sudden gust of wind howled through the meadow! Benny held the bird close and leaped — right onto the sturdy branch.

The baby bird tumbled softly into its nest and chirped a happy song. A single golden feather drifted down into Benny's paw.

The meadow glowed warmer than ever. Benny hopped home with his new friend safe, and the golden feather rested beside his burrow.
